That's one of my family's cars. I was driving it at the time, goin like 45mph through an intersection (I had a green light). Uninsured guy in a pickup turned left right across my lane (even though he was supposed to YIELD as I had a friggin green light) and I STOOD on the brakes but slammed into him, no time to react really. Airbag went off, etc. Took over 2 months to repair (car is so rediculously overly complex). Just glad it protected me - a 40mph crash is a very, very hard impact and I was able to walk away with only minor whiplash.
Luckily I had full coverage insurance, but still, the uninsured schmuck causing a wreck is very aggravating.

duh! I know it's a 7 series! but it looked like a 745 to me, not a 760 and the 745 isn't a 100k car

It's a 745, not a 760. The 760 is a BEASTLY car, but waaaaaaaaaaay more than the 745 costs. The 745 is still a very peppy car, and handles amazing thanks to BMW anti-roll stabilization. And with the 330+bhp V8 and the six speed auto transmission it's quite fast for a land yacht.
