Sad to give it back. I guess its time to clock up some miles in the '200 so that we can give it in for service again....or just work harder and buy a '250 :p

something canines?....I assume the other plate is something along the lines of Love our Golden

*edit*...after seeing your introduction post...I'll wager the first plate is "3 Golden canines"....

"Love Ronald Reagan" ??
Good heavens, no
Firecat is quite correct. Both plates are in reference to my Golden Retrievers. The Acura plate 3AUK9S stand for 3 Gold Canines. (For those like me, who slept through that chapter in science class, AU sits somewhere on the periodic table of elements as the chemical symbol for gold.) The Toyota's LV RGLDN is as Firecat said- Love Our Golden.

What a nice surprise :) The minute my brother saw it, he told them that he would be "unable to take delivery" of his IS200 tonight as he will be "at work" haha. So we got it for an extra day!

I'm not sure what model this is...Sport, Luxury or Sport/Lux.

First impressions about the design is that it is very busy, especially the hood and rear windows. The alloys on this car look pretty cheap on this model but thats probably because its a base model.

The interior is very nice! Leather is high quality, although the entire dash is grainy plastic which you wouldn't get on a German. Our car was equipped with keyless go which is really cool indeed!! Also had flappy paddle gearbox which wasn't all that good. When you enter redline, the dash goes red which is cool. Air con worked very well on this hot Autumns day. The seats were ventilated and heated and worked very well. Finally, the engine I hear was brilliant and the car had alot of grip.

If you spec this car up well with metallic black and nice alloys...its a sweet looking ride indeed. In this Pearl White with cheap alloys...it looks very Toyota-ish but all in all, its a great car and I am going to drive it tonight yey!

Yeah, those 16" alloys are on our base IS250RWD cars. Most packages come with 17 or 18" alloys with 2 optional 18" rims as accessories. I test drove the IS250AWD and IS350RWD at the dealer and pushed an IS250AWD hard around an auto-cross track at a BMW xDrive Comparison Event.

They're nice cars to drive. The IS250AWD had pretty good braking power. The IS350 stopped even shorter than the IS250AWD when I did the brake test on the exact same stretch of road near the dealership. The automatic transmission shifts really quickly but the paddle shifters are a tad slow. Hate to say it but the Acura CSX (read: Honda Civic overseas with leather/moonroof/HIDs) had faster reacting paddle shifters.

I think J55 should prove his worth...rather than some stupid "post a pic with you IN your car", I think he/she should make a video of the car doing donuts. Counterclockwise. With toiletpaper on the mirrors.

i would if you would donate a new set of tires ^^.... slk 55 burns so much rubber even in everyday use.. and this is post a pic of your car thread isnt it...

I was kidding; making fun of the absurd ways people try to get you to prove ownership.

But I do happen to have some Goodyear 245/45/17's for you; they're down to the wear bars courtesy of some "frisky" driving before I got new rubber for the 'stang. 8)
