What's your latest [non-technology] purchase?

Yay for more shoes!

I ended up ordering some black pumps...

A gladiator sandal (yes, I know... it's really comfy though!)

... and a regular sandal for everyday use. :)

Why are they called pumps anyway? I never figured that out.

They pump up your height? :dunno:

^

I'm not sure either - I think it's mostly for pumping up your height? They're just suede heels - bad thing is I have to wait for all the snow to melt at work before I can wear these. *hrmph!*

You are not the only one.

According to the Oxford University Concise Dictionary of English Etymology, the word Pumps is defined as
"a light, close fitting shoe" and is of unknown origin, first recorded use is 16th century.

Well, okay not exactly non-technology related, sorta. Kinda. I dunno. XD

Well a lot of copies weren't produced and it actually became quite rare because as soon as people bought it they kept a hold of it, just the odd person selling theirs now because they can get back what they orriginally paid for it and more often than never, get a lot more. It's pretty rare in Europe from what I heard and even rarer int UK. You'll never find a second hand copy 'ere for less than what I paid for it. You'd be well lucky if you did.

Those are the best, they are so incredibly soft.

Incidentally my cat ripped a hole through one of mine last night...

Those are my shirt of choice as well.

Nice, we are such a classy trio.

Actually most of BR's pima cotton stuff is just as soft, they're grrreat!
