What's your REALISTIC dream car? (under ~$40k US)

Thinking about it I guess you could put the front engine in forward gear and the rear in reverse and wheel spin in different directions!! Why you would want to do this I don't know.

its made of like paper maybe it will be pulled apart LOL!

Hmm... after looking at that Corvette next to my Avatar - it seems to have got quite a bit of its new look from the Ferrari. btw, where does the registration plate go on the new Vette?

I too would choose the Elise. Totally unpractical, but totally fun.

My next choice would be the MINI Cooper S (w. John Cooper Works).

Mazda RX-8 easy!! i just love those cars.. saw one for ?16k, was astonished that they can be had for that price.. rwd, 4 door coupe uniqueness.. rotary uniqueness, it looks, damn its sexy, and i love the stock wheels
now to just find an insurance company which quotes based on engine dispacement.. 1.3l haha

I might preferably take one in grey, but other than that I'm with you...

Quite a bump... Not the biggest we have ever had for sure, but its up there...

Supra.

White, 2 blue 'ford gt' type stripes over it, pulled out arches, top secret front bumper, veilside c2 hood and skirts, Volk Challenge rims.

Tuned as far as it can go with the stock sequential turbo setup (about 450bhp) to keep the zero lag drivability. Set up for total balance and driving feel over big power figures or 1/4 mile times etc.

And yes, i have thought about this lots. You put that car next to a Veyron, enzo, whatever, and hand me the keys for both, and i'll be off in the Supra without a look towards the supercar.

in 15 years time, i might be able to snag a DB7 for 40K. Good ones (V12+manual) here with low mileage can be picked up for around 60K at the moment.
i could also buy a Rolls Royce Silver Shadow for under $30K as of now

both would be falling apart while im signing the check :p
