In light of the Top Gear episode, Ive been wondering about the same thing. I only wish I could drive 'em.
Personally, (and of course, I say this ONLY from having read reviews and such) the Aston might be disappointing in the same sense the Mazda RX-8 is disappointing: original looks, fantastic chassis but it gets blown away on the track and on the street by less expensive cars, ie: WRXs, Acura RSX, EVOs, etc- all cars that make less fuss about their looks.
The Bimmer's engine is wicked and sounds incredible and I would love to say I have 500 hp under the hood. Just to say it! I dont think I could ever use all that power in real life though. Theres not even a track around here (Montreal) where I could use it on except for the GP circuit, which is closed to the public anyways.
But as a daily "compromise" for s sports coup?, id pick the Porsche. THough there are alot around here these days. It's like it has become the average rich man's BMW....
