This has been verified by Guiness Records.

I am proud to say that I was one of 35 students who assembled this beast (and also drank my fair share of the beer) over several weeks. We had several late nights gluing the cans into blocks of varying sizes and then spent two days assembling the whole thing.

The vital statistics:
Number of EMPTY cans (375ml variety of course): 10,660
Height: 5.07 metres (39 levels)
Estimated value: $400

That's kind of the whole idea...

You'd have to be fucking crazy to do it with full cans.

Believe me, there wasn't a need.

We had countless slab parties and so many barbeques it's not funny. We'd publicly humiliate anyone who crushed their can... like, taping them to a tree and writing all over their face kind of humiliation

But yes, I should have sent a shout out plea to the Melburnians... damn, coulda had more!

Apparently some bloke from Adelaide won the bidding. This means he'll most likely need it to be transported. This will add costs for him (to pay for our petrol etc) on top of the $15.50... There's a disclaimer thing explaining the breakdown of the costs. I didn't have anything to do with the listing or selling of it on e-Bay, that was done by the guy who came up with the idea.

Carlton Draught and VB. I think there's a few other random brands in there too.
