Alright, so I took a few quick snaps since we got a bit more snow in the last few days (we were under the season's average, now I think we're close to it) so you get to see what snow is. As a matter of fact, we don't know where to put it when shoveling now, there's no fucking place for it.

So on with the pics and description.

Pic 1

This is a view out of my bedroom's window, you can see the front neighbor's house, and that if we didn't shovel for me to see out of the window, it would be a lot higher (like on the left) but snow isn't that high, wind picked it up and made it go all in front of the house.

Oh yeah, don't think those branches fell out of the big tree, that's a tree too.. and it's not that small either..

View from our hottub room, looking at the patio, which is now almost level with the snow!

View of the backyard. How will I get the lawnmower and my bike out of that?

I don't think I'll go sit there today eh ;)

Pic 5 view of the pool deck and pool (invisible) of my neighbor, you might notice a fence, although it's useless now..

That's a ton of snow. Damn Renesis.

lucky you, not a mm snow over here
the amount of snow u have there is the total amount that it snows here for 20years :?

i hate the cold....tats y i love livin in a tropical country...

yeah same i hate the cold. i use to have a nice heater i took back form the UKwhen i use to live there but it just kept blowing the fuse of the house lol

I wish we had winter like that here, i love REAL winters, not like this year. Snow in the morning and melts by the afternoon.

We usually have that lot of snow here in Finland, too. Of course the winters aren't what they used to be... This winter there was awful lot of snow, but it has already melted away (not everything though, there's still about 20 cm of snow in our back yard). It's very interesting that the temperature here has been below 0 degrees centigrade nearly about a month now, usually we have some variation. Now there's -10 degrees of celsius (14 degrees Fahrenheit) :D So, it's cold enough to freeze the balls of a brass monkey.

What I really love are snowy days where it's warm like -5 to -10C without wind, you go to take a walk, everything's so relaxing and calm.. ahh I couldn't live without a real winter, it's so magic, and when you're a kid you NEED snow for christmas.

Yea, christmas without snow is quite horrible. The real winter starts here in southern Finland actually in January or February, but usually there is some snow at christmas (last year [2004] there wasn't really and I was like  ). But all in all it is SO wonderful to have proper seasons, it would be, IMO, a bit boring to have sun and warmth all the time. :D

I never saw snow for real in my life, it never ever snowed here.

aaaand trust me you don't wanna see snow either... its overrated :p lol

I can imagine it could be irritating to live with, specially with 50cm snow and stuff I hear you guys talkin about... But still, it feels bad to never have seen something, and our christmas sux without snow. How could I learn about snowman in school books and never get to make one :?
I hope it snows in seattle....
Funny thing I just saw at weather.com when checking out the weather in Seattle. I went through the next 10-day forecast, it will be raining on 8 consecutive days! I've got to see that as I can't imagine it

Thanks for the link, seems it was posted during my hibernation period.

--EDIT--
I realized these were posted before me joining the forum in the first place, still an amazing find, thanks again.
And should you visit seattle again, some time after next october, you'd have one more friend to visit there 8)

I started the thread, hence it wasn't hard to find for me. :)

Maybe I'll come to Seattle one day, I've been on vacation in the US probably 10-15 times but never in Seattle. It's also close to Vancouver, a city I'd like to see as well.
Btw, I visited San Diego, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Dallas, Corpus Christi, Tampa, Miami, Chicago and New York. Some of them a couple of times but I think that's about it. ;)

A view from above the south shore of the St-Lawrence River across to Qu?bec city and neighbouring towns. Doors off on the side offers a great sight, huh ? ;)

Sorry if some of these stills are a little blurry around the edges, they were taken from the video of my jump today and the wide angle lens (0.3) doesn't help much either.

I personally could do without snow and cold but today put a big bright smile on my face.
