Montreal to Vancouver (stops in Toronto and Calgary to see friends), then Seattle and back through the badlands with stops in Butte Montana. Then edge back through the Tri-City, Detroit, and back.

Something over 10,000 km, I had to do an oil change in Vancouver upon arrival, and averaging 18 hours days at the wheel. I like long distance driving. Though I did spend a few days here and there catching-up with friends.

Worse problem was having my front right tyre patched in Butte Montana on a Saturday morning when I was getting ready to leave. I had collected a nail somewhere around there.

Montana back then was speed limit "Careful and Prudent" during daylight ... which meant that I drove just a little higher the 150 kph in the badlands. Faster then that you would need to know the roads already.

Oh and I dd this to get away from the office ... nothing like not being reachable for a two week jaunt.

Brisbane to Sydney round trip.

We should have taken the most direct route but we figured if we go along the coast we can stop whenever we wanted to surf. And we did. 8)
