Gotta go M. The Z4 is pretty nice, but the M3 is way more practical (groceries, etc.) and probably a better ride.
 
I know that the M cars are awesome but the 135i and my 335i are just as fast maybe even faster with a few goodies and they are such sleepers.

- Z4 M Coupe - modern exterior and interior++
 
335i/135i +chip -cat +exhaust +intake > M3 on a straight line.

But ///M is still an ///M, chuck some corners in and you will know where the extra money went to.

The difference in weight is about 200lbs. So what you loose in 200lbs you get a much better looking car in a much better package. A quick search on google says the 135i does 0-60 in 4.7 seconds. The 335i in 4.8. Hardly a noticeable difference. The back seats in the 135i are pretty useless.

135i is a faster car...but 335i is the car that you would want to live with on a daily basis. However...if you live on a track or on the cliff of a mountain then i suppose that 135i is a better choice.

Erm... that would a downgrade.

Standard Z3/E36 M3 comes with the S52, not M54. E46 M3 and Z4M Coupe comes with the S54.

M54 is the standard 3.0 litre engine that is found in the old shape Z4 3.0i or Z3 3.0i.

You must have got the model numbers wrong.

Oops. You are very correct. I meant to say the S54. What was I thinkin' :?
 
About 4 months ago I would have taken the 135i/335i because Dinan has a stage 3 performance package that brings the hp to 430 and torque to 390. Now Dinan is about to release a package for the M3 that claims it will boost the the hp to 500+, so I have to say the M3 now.

The E46 M3 is driven by cocks. The 135i doesn't have enough throttle bodies. Both the M3 and the 135i have too many seats.
 
E46....I know it's a cock's car, but it just looks spot on, and sounds spot on too...
