The torrent links that redirect you to either Torrage or Zoinkit for some reason force Opera to keep opening a new tab. The only way to stop it is to close the browser all together.

This problem does not occur on Firefox so it seems to be an issue with Opera not liking the links for some reason.

Also, each tab has an error message saying that the file could not be opened at "Opera's temporary Internet folder location".

I was just wondering if anyone else has this same problem and what version of Opera they are running? I am running a BETA build of Opera and want to see if anyone has the same problem in a stable build before I uninstall the BETA.

Thanks,
-Chris

Opera 9.64 on mine just prompts me to start downloading with internal bittorrent. Works fine here.

Can always just click the magnet link instead. :)

Or right-click the url, copy it, and add it to whatever torrent client you use.

Or not use Opera. :p

There is something wrong with your settings for the preferred program to open .torrent files in. Go into opera settings and change it - it might actually be under "about:eek:pera" because it has a torrent client integrated into the browser.

Sorry for taking a while to respond. I checked all of my settings and they were correct. My default setting for torrents is utorrent. It doesn't even ask me to save or open with, it just opens utorrent when I click a torrent or magnet link. I also passed the gzip compatibility test and got the message "YES, your browser is requesting compressed content."

I installed the newest 10.20 alpha and it does not have this problem, seems that whatever it was got fixed by the Opera team in the latest test build.
Thanks for all the replies.
