Sorry to bump, but Humberside police deserve a medal or two.
Armed response
In October 2006, when the Humberside Police was named, jointly (with Northamptonshire Police), as the worst performing police force in the country, based on data released from the Home Office
If only those Mitsubishis were undercover cop cars. Evo's attract SO much attention from other ricers that I guarantee some idiot would try and drag race a cop without realizing.
^^ Undercover police cars in this country are almost always either Vectras, Volvos (V70/S60s - almost certainly from '06) or occasionally BMWs. All in dark colours. I always keep an eye out for these kinds of cars when on the motorway - fortunately haven't come across one yet.
Yea, the VA Police have like 10 of these at the Veterans Hospitol in Tampa, it is very hard to take them seroiusly when they come scooting up to you on one of these. its like a segway on steroids! they will park on the sidwalk and stand on this thing watching people walk/drive by in the parking lot and you cant help but to smile at this thing with this cop on it. just looks all kinds of wrong.
^^ Yeah. They're actually pretty easy to spot, with all the bits in the windows. The rear window will have a dotmatrix screen in it, the front windscreen will have a satnav and a camera on it, as well as some lights. The officers will be undoubtably wearing a white shirt, with shoulder tabs, and a black stab vest. I have actually slowed down from doing 90 (down to 70) when I saw a 3 series estate, in black, on the motorway once. It was seemingly staying in the middle lane and driving a bit slowly, but it was just a stupid mother with two small kids in the back. So I sped up again.
