Food! [The thread that started this section]

I'm sure there potentially could be some, but it would be a lot of work. Obviously we do have "specialist" meat counters at the bigger groceries but in my experience the so-called butchers or chefs who stand there know shit.

Sorry if this has been discussed before...

I read/heard somewhere that going vegan/vegetarian supposedly improves your sleep quality and subsequent energy levels, supposedly it takes less energy for your digestive system to process vegetables/fruits than meat products. I'm already not a big meat lover (mostly fish), but is this a boatload of BS or is there some scientific proof behind this?

Thanks.

Woohoo! Garlic Knots <3

Most of the food in this thread scares me. Finally, something I can salivate over :w00t:

Hah yeah, they're as amazing as they look! Not bad for 1.50! :)

You watch cooking competitions on TV whether amateur or professional, someone will steal something from him.

I'm just gonna have a wild guess that you're reacting to the garlic cream made with the gas gun on GBM 2 days ago. It's a clever tool when used right. People don't just use these new techniques just for the sake of using them.

... and Masterchef, theres this American guy. He's crazy and usually fun to watch.
The semi-final he brought out this 'pub atmosphere' for the people to smell in the table centre.

Most time when people do that it's an utter failure since they have no clue what it takes to make such a thing.

Last year on GBM some guy made "a smell of the seaside" which basically was some carbonated water with some stones in it.

Ah yes.

This pub one, they loved it. But it's still theft.

It's theft if someone copies the exact same dish without asking the creator. I'm not hung up on it. Techniques are all free to use for everybody, no matter where they orginiate from.

Who doesn't love a good bowl of (real) ramen? not the pot noodle crap

Wait... so you're saying the 78 cent cups of ramen I see at the store are not high quality?
