Was playing around with so called macro box, that I made recently, and was shooting averything I could get my hands on. It's simple, but I thought it looks interesting :)

MXM: i recommend you replace the normal white paper on the sides with tracing paper. That way you'll let more light through while still keeping the dispersion which creates those soft shadows.

I also replaced the back paper with a glossy one from the back of a calendar. Also i got 2 completely flat ceramic tiles. One white, one black. They can give really nice effects. :)

Yeah, I just put it together from whatever I've found at home, and I haven't found any tracing paper :) And the flash was powerful enough to shoot through regular printer paper.
For the back I'm planning to find some different color papers and see how that goes.

Ooh, awesome, got that in a higher res?

I use table lampS. That way i can experiment more with the lighting.

EDIT: here's a little sample of the various setups in under 5 minutes:

Forgot to mention, two weeks ago I stopped using the cameras presets, and doing everything in manual mode...except for focus, because I cannot trust my eyes.
