These are not my photos.

Below are the car models I used to have/drove. If I still had them and installed a car head unit that supports CarPlay & Android Auto it would look like these.

I am doing this to get the satisfaction of visualization.

Again, these photos are from the web but reflect the cars I had/drove before.

I would like wireless carplay in the Passat but I can't be arsed to find a good adapter that works, there are so many and all of them are chinesium.

I'm the reverse... wish all CarPlay head units could output 30W USB-C power so I'd get to 0-50% within 30 mins.

Also would want a CarPlay head unit that is 8.3", 10.2", 10.9", 11" or even 12.9". Screen sizes like that of an iPad

After the 2017 Lexus all the cars have CarPlay built-in. As I said previously I want a bigger screen like say even a 17" one like those on a Tesla.

I've used on a couple of loaner cars (my Kia doesn't support it), and it works pretty good, with the caveat that it eats through your battery quite fast. The solution to this would be a cable, which then defeats the whole point of having wireless carplay 🤡

Having a wireless charging pad may help, but because wireless Carplay is so battery intensive (heat), and charging wirelessly creates even more heat, at some point the phone won't charge to protect itself from overheating.

Out of curiosity : are there still standard cars that are being offered without this, and with a crappy standard shitty radio? Seems like such a waste of money from the manufacturers
