Family cars

My dad currently drives my Focus.

Before that, he drove my ZX2.

Before that, he drove a 1988 GMC Conversion Van (handed over to me after I killed the Voyager)

Before that, he drove a 1989 Plymouth Voyager SE Turbo (handed over to me as a first car, and extensively modified).

Before that he drove a the 1988 GMC Conversion Van (mentioned above)

Before that, he drove a 1981 Ford Escort Diesel 3door.

Before that he drove some sort of unspecified American muscle.

His first car was a Datsun 210.

The last car my mother drove before becoming incapacitated was a 1986(?) Plymouth Voyager (non-turbo)

Before that she drove some kind of massive yacht.

My brother has yet to own a car or have one that can really be identified as his.

My girlfriend drives a 2001 Honda Civic LX sedan. It sucks.

My boyfriend's car (We've been living together 7 years, I count him as family):

My mother's car:

My father has a boring old '87 Camry, automatic. My parents also have an '88 Camry (manual), an '84 Camry (manual), and are currently the home of my grandfather's truck ('96 Chevy 1500). None of these are daily driven by anyone, they're just... cars. I learned to drive on the '84 Camry, though.

I've tracked the GT3 RS and I've autocrossed the '94 MX-5 (yes, that's a '94 M Edition). Both are a lot of fun, as is my car which I haven't yet posted about. :)

well, since people are adding pictures, i'll add some too, as i oddly enough do have pictures of the cars :p

Youtube some videos of the Dodge Caravan Turbo (same thing), it's a hilarious sleeper.

My parents own a dark green 2001 Bonneville and a 2009 Silver Honda Odyssey EX. Thrilling, I know. But my father has owned many Bonneville's, including a 1994 SSEi and a 1957 convertible, which was his first Pontiac in 1960 after his 1957 Chevrolet 210's (aka base model Bel Air) engine exploded.

They bought Odyssey after having many, many problems with their 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan, and my father vowed never EVER to buy an American car again. The Caravan was nice though; it had every option and rode nicely.

I'd like to give chyrsler some +rep for this.

At one point in the 80s, damn near every car (not truck) Chrysler made either was a turbo, had an optional turbo, or had a corporate twin/relative that was a turbo.

my rents currently drive a Lexus IS220d SE...with cream leather inards!

its not especially amazing, but it is the best, most luxurious car he's ever owned and will probably be the last. its a nice ride for sure, i love how quiet it is on the motorway and the instruments rock.

and now my car cost 7 times less than his, but is longer :p

you cant beat second hand cars, i love them! you get so much bang for your ???. next for me... Alfa brera, black, tan, 2.4JTD (or the 2.2 petrol.... wont be able to afford to run the 3.2 V6 in this country..... they should really put the 1.9JTD in that car.)

My Dad's a bit of a Saab hoarder.
He's currently has:
1986 Saab 900 8v
-Base model, slower than cold molasses, currently used by younger brother as a college car.
1987 Saab 900 16v Turbo
-Picked up for a nearly Lemons $700, with no 5th gear, swapped gearbox, is now a good solid (albeit rusty) runner.
1997 Saab 9000 Aero
-Pretty quick, with some neat "Recaro Style" seats that are more like butterfly chairs.
2005 Saab 9-5 Aero Wagon
-Slushbox, pretty much used as a pickup-truck and family shuttle.

My mom has:
1987 Saab 900 16v turbo convertible.
Older brother has
1988 Saab 900 16v turbo convertible with lots of rust.
Younger brother has
1984 Porsche 944 that hasn't run in 5 years, says he's gonna fix up someday.

And I've got a 1997 Saab 9000 CS. Basically what I drive, when it's too cold/snowy/wet to ride the bike.

I can get pix if requested.

my dad has an '01 Saab 9-5
before that was a '99 Saab 9-3, after a mk.II golf when we lived in europe, an '87 900 which was after a renault, fiat and a BMW in there somewhere.

my mom has an '03 honda pilot
before that was a '99 honda passport, a honda odyssey, an accord, a prelude

my mom's husband has an '08 honda accord and a '98 ford ranger. no idea what he had before those...

Both autos, both falling apart!

Mum: 1998 Peugeot 306
Dad: 1994 Saab 9000 CD (sedan) aka 'The Fridge' (it's white and boxy LOL!).
My brother doesn't have a car yet.

Not autos, and not falling apart....

Step-mum: 2006 Honda Jazz GLi
Paternal grandparents: 2001 Nissan Pulsar LX Sedan.

Nothing overly exciting there, then.

Mum: 2004 Holden VY Commodore
Dad: 2003 Holden Rodeo Dual cab 4WD
Brother: 1998 Ford AU traytop

Dad will probably upgrade from the Rodeo within the next 12 months to the latest model (Colorado as they're now known). No plans to replace the Commodore as far as I know. They're not car enthusiasts, they prefer to spend their money on the house.

110km/h. :wall::wall:

Australia is the home of utterly retarded speed limits, and moron drivers who necessitate them.

QFT. Bit offtopic but it annoys me how they dropped the speed limit in the Barossa Valley to a blanket 80kph because too many young people are crashing and dying. The clowns who implemented that clearly didn't think too much about it or they would've realised the morons who go and crash like that don't exactly pay attention to the posted speed limit anyway.
