Gran Turismo 4 Lap Times

Yup, everything counts.

Hmm... Or was it decided earlier that oil changes don't count? I remember somebody brought it up...

edit: W00t, Post number 1000

The only thing i hate more in this world then golfers is gt4ists. Nothing personal, but hasn't it ever occured to you that gt4 may infact be rather dreary?
Get a job

That's funny, the only thing I hate more than golfers are people who don't know the difference between "then" and "than". I hope you're not an English teacher. Oh, and Forza sucks.

No updates from anybody? Right now I'm in the 1'12.xxx range. Either you guys are sandbagging, or you're all using the wrong car.

I couldn't go any faster than mid 1:14's with the RX-7 or Corvette and I could maybe try the NSX but can't see that being faster as the money just isn't there for mods.

I got a 1.13.2 if I remember right, but I think I was a bit over the limit with the weight reduction and roll cage that I had forgotten about. Don't know if I'll get another crack before time runs out.

Oh, and regarding the question about oil changes, I think it's agreed that they aren't included in the tuning budget.

That surprises me about the Corvette (Grand Sport right?). NA tune stage 2/port polish/exh/wing/r3 tires should make that thing a beast.

You can buy a shitload of gear for it, slicks, supercharger, had nearly 500 hp. But the time just isn't there. Too heavy I guess. S2000 and S15 were also nice but just didn't have the grunt.

Official time: 1'12.465

And the details:
TVR Griffith 500 - 20555 (x2)
oil 50
wing 1200
racing exhaust 4900
weight reduction 1300
chip 1800
racing tires 22750
na tuning 2 13500
flywheel 1100
clutch 4800
port polish 5800

Total: 98310 Cr.

So, anyone have any ideas for the next race? I'm leaning towards a 'heavyweight' race.

Ah the griffith!! Fuck never thought of that, hence why keeping the cars secret is gayer than Xmas. Your choice since you won.

sorry guys, was trying to poke fun, should have put a ":p" at the end. Came accross a bit boorish.

is the difference in feedback noticeable?
and also does the GT5 one come with a lap resting thingo that goes between your legs like the GT3 one?

It seems like my great budget idea did not quite work. I suppose it was too time consuming...

Anyway, I'm out for the next few weeks (busy week ahead now and the next I'll be back at my folks without ps2 or internet) but, in arnie's words, 'I'll be back!' :)

That's with the Supra RZ. Notably, I did a 1'10.4 even after doing a full 360. The 1'08 lap was clean though. I put a stage 4 turbo on it for kicks, and that was amusing to say the least... slow, but amusing.

Is it over 1500kg? I had a look at it but I think it was 1370kg? But perhaps mine was lightened.

Oh, and you know the Stagea is a Skyline, right? The Autech 260RS uses the RB26 and GT-R underpinnings. I thought I'd found a loop-hole, then I double-checked your list and noticed it on there.
