Lens Flair

German long weekend means its a policy of mine to get out of Hamburg. Last weekend's turn was the N?rburgring Nordschleife with a couple of friends travelling from oz, but only spent a couple of hours taking pictures, the rest of the time was spent on the track :)

Oryctes nasicornis aka. European rhinoceros beetle. Damn big one too, easily the biggest non-flying insect I've ever seen (in the wild) myself. It was just casually crawling on the floor at my workplace, it was a warm day so we had the front door open. Wikipedia tells me that they're usually 3-5cm long and are night creatures, this one was spotted in the afternoon on a sunny day and it must've been at least 6-7cm long :p
