My car has an Ebersp?cher heater in it, for defrosting and warming up the car while it's parked. It's controlled via text messaging.

I'm wondering if it's possible to write an AppleScript that uses the Messages app in Yosemite to send predefined text messages via Continuity and an iPhone with 8.1.

I'm envisioning a menu bar dropdown with 4-5 items in it. Just select one of them to fire off an SMS. No confirmation dialogs or anything like that, just a single click that sends a text. Is this possible? The reason I'm asking is that I haven't touched a programming language in a decade so I would have to learn from scratch. I'm not against that but I don't want to spend the time if it can't be done. :p
