James said he hates American spam, we must put a stop to these lies.

*If i write official, people will think that this thread has more substance than it really does. :p
The quotes above may or may not be real and may be added for my own amusement.

What?

I don't believe that guy that posted owned that Dolly at all, the guy had only one post and probably just thought it was his car.

Funny threads, though!

There should also be a place for some coverage of the people who spend time and money keeping the cars on the road, the cars that people forget about (or are too young to know about), highlight the dedication that people have, the folk that preserve the history of the cars they keep, the expertise that floats aroud forums like this, the stories behind the cars and the people that care for them now.?
 The funny part is, that's exactly the sort of thing Clarkson rails against. Boring car bores that make being a car enthusiast so unattractive to the rest of the normal populace.

My complaint is that all of these people have one thing in common: you wouldn't want them in your house. More than that, I wouldn't want them in my address book. I don't even want them in my sight.

And no, please do not introduce at this point, people who love old crocks and classics. By rumbling around in an old Ghost or a Napier, what they're demonstrating is not a love for cars but a love for the past. Every single person with a classic car would like to see policemen clipping hoodies round the ear, and a return of National Service.

All of you. Put down your copies of Autocar. Stop Sky-Plussing TG to watch in the middle of the night when everyone's in bed. Come out of the garage and tell the world you don't have to be an alpha male to like an Alfa Romeo. Because, with a bit of luck and a fair wind, we can convince everyone that liking cars does not demonstrate you have a pornographic hard drive and a wardrobe full of track suits.

Is it just me or anyone else the irony of the "sprint owner's" comments?

My Sprint was in very good all round condition, bar one thing, very very faded paintwork. It was mechanically excellent, with a very good & quick engine. Over the past 10 years I had replaced almost everything mechanically - eg it had recon sub frame, 4 new Spax adjustables, new springs etc etc.

Oh there's more:
I personally refitted the rear bumper approx 4 years ago

The car had no wing mirrors fitted

The same with the radio; I did not have one fitted

I had some decent grey replacement seats fitted cos the originals were so tatty they were near unuseable - and they obviously re-fitted them to make the car look tattier!

I had only sold the car because I wasn't using it enough, and it desperately needed a respray I could not afford.

Why lies?

I do think the Alpine was a shame

Robert Llewellyn attacks King Jezza.*

*I just wanted a tabloid-esque title. :p

Now that's a thread I really hope Wilman reads, just so JC can take the piss at some point!!!

These guys remind me of all the people who cry because they don't have enough 'green' cars. wahh wahhhhh wahhhhhhhhh they wrecked a car we knew waahhhhhhhh. It's just a car (and not a good one) get over it and get a proper car, not a "unique" car.

I like Llewellyn the actor, but real life Bob is a herd following wet liberal.

The thing is on Scrapheap, not one vehicle is road legal they're always huge engined monsters, and he loves them.

On his YouTube page...

Hypocrite?

EDIT: In another video "All my mates said don't buy a hybrid car and Jeremy Clarkson said they're the worst car in the world... which is really for me, the best reason in the world to get one."

Even more...

Oh shut up. What gives you the right to deem cars worthless? Sure the people in these threads are a bit sensitive, but its not like they've actually shot JC in the face or something.

I actually have to side with the 610 owners simply because the 610 crash wasn't really that entertaining in itself. Its great to crush a hyundia, it deserves it, but its not like the 610 was made simply as a tool, or it was in some way offensive and annoying. Hell i can even understand the Needless smashing of Porsches, their owned by cocks, theirs tonnes of them, and their dangerous to drive, i just don't see how the 610 adds up as a car that deserved to be smashed.

What an absolute knob. He was probably driving along roads where he never had to stop, going at constant speeds, so he got great mileage. Big-fucking-whoop

i dont have any idea why he is being a knob,
but i am sure that he didnt get the idea of jezza's test.
its not how much prius does to the gallon. its how the fuel economy is dependent on the driving style.
mr. robert ... if you happen to read my comment. go and watch the episode again mate.
and one more thing, i am sorry but i have to say that you are not a well spoken / behaved man.:drums:
