They are out there somewhere. Great software free of charge. Quite a lot actually, and (for me) it?s getting quite hard keeping up with all that new Stuff.
I?ve come along quite a lot of free Software I would recommend to anyone, and I wanted to ask you to tell me what you think are great Programs you could recommend that cost nothing more than ... nothing.
This includes Freeware, Shareware, free Software (yes, that?s different from Freeware or Open Source - apparently), GPL ... simply put: Stuff you don?t have to pay for in the first place.

It?s not meant as a substitue for Photoshop like the Gimp, it?s more a basic editing tool for pictures and what it does, it does it well. IMO, it?s all a amateur-user will ever need.

Very good Audio-Editor that wouldn?t embarass a pro (IMO).
