I sorta liked the look of the newer version until Jeremy made that face on the TG bloopers. Then I started seeing jezzas face everytime I saw one :lol:.

I know the SL55 is old news, but AMG mercs are a rarity these days :(

How often do you see one? In fact I've seen more Dinan BMWs in the last week than I have AMG mercs!
 
^ I see AMGs very often here in Vancouver! Aside from my dad's, I see them on a daily basis.

Actually, the SL55 seems to be the most common here.

Edit: Here is one of the ones I've spotted. It's pretty weird that the new regular SL gets the Gullwing-esque side vent, and the AMG version has some normal vents like the old car.

I didn't think this was worth it's own thread, so I'll just post it here. My brother's neighbor is from out east where all older cars tend to be rolling piles of rust, but when he came to Arizona he found a rust-free Suburban to replace his current one for hardly nothing.

This guy is a perfectionist when it comes to cars. He has a spotless Grand National tucked in his garage that is award-winning show-car caliber, that he built himself, but it's never out and I've never heard it run.

Anyway, most of the mechanical is done. He has a set of 37" BFG Muds ready to put on, he's just shopping for 20" wheels for them first. He's going to have all the body work and paint done soon, but we're trying to talk him into taking it off road with us before he does anything cosmetic to the body.

Well, I dunno, at least that's the coolest Suburban body.

I guess if you're into those types of cars this is a clean example. Certainly looks very well looked after.

Yeah, he's a funny guy. He has this big truck, as well as his old one that he's selling to my brother, and the badass Buick Grand National. But he drives around in a purple late 80's Chevy Beretta.

Not sure if you're being sarcastic or not, but just in case look closer at the picture.

The Woodward Dream Cruise is going on right now, if anyone is interested in American muscle, you must go to the dream cruise. It's the quickest way to get desensitized to just about any old American car from the 50's/60's/70's you can think of.

I was just making sure! Smilies are the closest you can get to conveying sarcasm.

As for sightings, I saw an Ultima GTR on Woodward this morning. I'll be going back in a little bit and I'll see if it's at any of the car meets going on.
 
Saw my first Nissan GT-R today... I don't have a picture because I thought it was just a gray G35 coupe until it was way too late to load up my phones slow-as-molasses cam.

So yeah, it looked/sounded totally tame. :|
 
Saw a challenge stradale yesterday. Only 14 in Australia (there were 15 but one was crashed)

I guess so... it seemed to have regular BC plates.

Once I realized it wasn't just a G35 I made sure it was a GT-R.

As it is registered in Wolfsburg, it's probably still owned by VW or someone who works there.

IMO it's the most beautiful car ever built by VW :love:



The A2 is always good for some nice cars on sundays :)
