now this is awesome, the BBC video + commentary is better but they are ruthlessly efficient at taking the clips down from youtube, so this recording of a computer screen is all i could find
mens 4x100 freestyle relay final at beijing, action picks up with cullen jones vs frederick bosquet of france. bosquet being a very fast french freestyler hands jones his ass and gives the french a clear lead going into the last leg. Phelps 8 golds looked all but over.... but just wait and watch the ending!!
more reasons why this race is awesome....
1) phelps, went 47.51 on the first leg, equal to the 100m free WR.... only problem is he came in 2nd!! eamon sullivan of australia broke the WR in the lane next to him by going 47.24
2) alain bernard went last for the french, he'd just lost his WR to sullivan and was favourite to win the 100m free individual event. surely, surely jason lezak stood no chance.
3) lezak went 46.06 which is just biblical..... fastest 100m relay split ever by over a half second.
BBC footage is here, full race from the start...

EDIT: man watching that still gives me goose bumps.... its just so unfricken believable!
