Having a play with my strobes for a show catolague. what do you all think?

strobist info: bounce umbrella high left vivitar 285 1/4 power, bare flash on wall really low 1/16th power. ebay wireless triggers.

I don't think so, I like them and I enjoy the variety but I find the faces quite dark in the majority of them, think you need to get that light back a little bit and maybe use a reflector on the right hand side.
 
kinda the look i was going for, but i see what you are saying. these are to be the photos for the catalog of our BFA show and are to be a vague representation of the person.
 
It just looks like someone who doesn't know that much about lighting took these, and I don't know if that's a look to go for. And several of the people are slightly out of focus/blurred/soft aswell.
 
I like them. But agree with everyone when they say there should be a fill-light to compensate for the harsh shadows.
Something from higher above, to make the faces stand out?
And one thing that bugs me is the slight gradient effect you get on the top of all the images, looks good, but it's not uniform... so it looks botched in some way.

That one has a good basis to go on. Just find a small fill-light and like someone else said, a reflector (anything reflective will do it) on the right.
(And I like her top, but that doesn't help you... so. ^^)
