M3.

It's understated compared to the NSX, so less of a ticket magnet. It's still an icon, but it's an icon you can use every day. I can go blasting up mountain roads and still stop and buy a load of groceries on the way home.

I love the M3 but I'd take the NSX hands down, not even a contest. Perfectly balanced mid-engined supercar with timeless looks (I LOVE the interior, too), honda reliability, huge aftermarker, SCREAMING vtec engine, and a chassis tuned by you-know-who. F-ing dream car. As far as practicality is concerned, I'd SO rock the NSX as an only car... I'd carpool, take a bus or a taxi, and ride a bike in the winter and it would be worth it. First cars had pop-ups, too. If it wasn't for porn I'd j off to the NSX

If this was NSX vs E46 CSL, it'd be easy. But damn, this is hard. M3 has usable rear seats, which is a big plus in my family situation, but the NSX is so insanely cool that almost nothing can beat it. I think it'll all come down to what I'll be using it for, the other cars I might own and the prices of the two compared to my budget. I think in the end the balance might swing towards the M3 beause of the better availability of aftermarket stuff for it over here. Although the rarity of the NSX also has its merits. See, I really can't decide this one.

What he said. I cannot decide.

If you are going to blow money on a sports car it might as well look like a supercar and be mid-engined. Here's a video of some awesome sounding NSXs:

Though I think a more "real world" comparison would be between the NSX and the Boxster. Both have 6-cylinders in the middle and are touted as sports cars that are usable and drivable.

I love the NSX!! Love it.
I can't believe Vik would take it just for the senna connection, im sure theres more to it for him. I also can't believe Level loves the INTERIOR!!!!

I love the look of the NSX (facelift with a 6spd plz!), the senna setup, the reliability, the gear change and useablity. The all aluminum body. The engine is... so so in the new era, but its Mid position makes it fantastic. It pretty much beats the M3 in most ways for me except for the rawness of the m3.

BUT. I voted M3. Just because of that Integra interior.. what a disappointment. The seats are nice, but everything else was just like every other ecobox ive driven.

alright kiddies.. neither of those are stock pipes! and the CSL is not the m3.

Also the Straight Pipes in the CSL ruin it for me. the induction noise is what makes it so special. Straight pipes are just too much

If I had either the M3 or the NSX I would certainly not leave them stock

In that case the M3 wins. The first thing you have to do to the NSX to make it stand up to more power is buy a an expensive aftermarket transaxle as the stock one will grenade. Finding such a transaxle probably means going to something with straight cut gears and no syncros... not exactly something I want to use on the street.

For that money you could have a air cooled flat six. . .

As far as mid-engined supercars go.... the NSX is reliable, has a real trunk, and is not quite so absurdly low as to be confused by speed bumps. Throw on some winter tires and avoid the worst snowstorms and you could make it work.

I live in canada, a NSX would get ruined from november to march hence why I chose the M3, and it sounds better, looks better, faster and I can have more than one friend!

NSX, because there are only 2 in Finland, and pitting a supercar against a saloon is pointless :)

I live in canada, a NSX would get ruined from november to march hence why I chose the M3, and it sounds better worse, looks better worse, marginally faster in a straight line, doesn't corner as hard, and I can have more than one friend annoying me while I drive!

FTFY :p

I don't think you can get a 993TT for the same price as an M3 or NSX, twerp. You can both of those under 25k.
