That definitely hasn't been take today - nice though! (Except for the light :p )

yesterday ;)

i took my bike up on the feldberg today...and it wasn't the greatest idea i have to admit. i had to carry it most of the way from k?nigstein to the summit and then i had to pedal down all the way in order not to get stuck...haven't seen so much snow in a loong time...

B&W conversion could have been done even better, but I'm not really a master of those pro techniques yet.

just went through the last couple weeks worth of photos.. some sweet stuff in there. Here's a few that stood out for me:

Iben.. this is exactly what I wished I could have taken if I were able to shoot skiing. Simply stunning..

Amazing detail here Jmiller, and I like how it shows you just enough to tell you exactly what the subject is.

I've always been a fan of your rally shots Cosworth, but this one excels in giving a feel for the environment, and is made more unique by the lack of a WRC-like car in the shot. I love it!

Shadowness.. holy crap! I've never seen such detail in a dog's nose. And it's made even more beautiful by the near perfect DOF in the shot. Great stuff!

Thanks! Yeah I noticed that too.... I actually wanna remove it altogether. The law states you must have it in Washington state but I see so many people going around without it so I'm still not sure what to do

Either way.. pass the word on!

all I've really been able to shoot this past month has been cars. Here's a couple I did this past weekend, albeit with rain drops on the lens :bangin:

I'll post more in my own thread.

How are pan shots achieved? it seems like you have to match your camera w/ the car exactly... that seems really really hard.

AxlxA, not really THAT hard. You just aim at approaching car and follow it with camera, pressing the shutter few times while moving the camera, until the car passes you. Very good chance some of those photos will turn out good :)

whoster: The photo of the chapel is KICK ASS. Sorry about the use of caps lock, but it had to be done.

rootrider: Thanks for the compliment! I've ski raced for a long time, and there's something about that photo that gets to me. It seems to give both the element of speed and power, yet the amazing need for minute percision.

and while we're on the topic of panning...

some more "creative" - (some would argue) pics at http://www.flickr.com/photos/asphotos/ <- flickr, while run by the evil yahoo/time warner empire, is pretty good for the NON car stuff.
