I wonder how much they charged him/her for the detailing?

Seen that a while back, its crazy that you can do that much to a car, and there are the products and tools to allow you to do this.

Ah, so he finally got his hands on a Veyron. This guy operates, unofficially known as...the most expensive car wash in the world. He was quite popular sometime ago and I'm sure many of you have seen the following video:

http://video.google.com/googleplayer.swf?docId=-892782202661869342&hl=en

You can see that the guy pictured in that thread is the same as the one featured in the above video.

Quite a smart guy. Washing and detailing exotic cars.

The video states that he charges up to 5000 pounds for a wash and detail. But I reckon it might be a bit more than that for a Veyron. Or not.

I don't particularly like the color combination on the Veyron.
I like the cream colored Veyrons.

That was pure pornography!!!
I could watch these pictures all the day.
If I would ever be so close to a veyron, I fear I would get a seizure :?

Nobody noticed this?

I think this was the Bugatti that James May had driven to the max on top gear and had therefore racked up a few miles.....

i dont think it is the same veyron, the interior May drove seemed to be a dark red/burgundy colour, where as the one in the car wash was a black or a dark colour but not a red-ish shade.

Ehm...

Seems more like a burgundy interior and dark blue/black exterior to me.. :)

That one seems to be similar in color to the one that they used in the race, and in some other euro videos I've seen. I wonder if thats the one Veyron that is used to most reviews.

I've seen pics of the Astra VXR before, and of course the stuff he did on Fifth Gear. I wonder how long a car would stay in such good condition for?

I thought I read somewhere that the Zymol Royale Glaze (the $7000+ wax) gets lifetime replacement. Zymol's other products are much much cheaper and that's where the bulk of their sales are, so I can believe it. Also, if that is true, this guy's first wash pretty much took care of the cost of the wax. I don't know how much the other equipment he uses costs, but it seems like he's making a few grand in profit on a daily basis!

I'd rather drive my car, thanks.

Even if i did spend my time doing this, sod's law would say I would get to the end of my street, and living where I do would mean a Tranit would blast past, and a very dirty puddle would end up all over my car. I would only do this if I had a vintage Mercedes SL or a 250GTO. Not a Veyron. I would be having too much fun. And most certainly not a bloody Astra.

I like how half the Vauxhall drivers on that forum are taking the piss. So they should.

Dirty cars can look cool too - a car that looks like its been driven hard is much better than a car that you can see your face in.

Both veyrons have different license plates....

one thing that people used to do at the MR2 (first gen, boxy car) forums after they had just waxed their cars really hard was take a picture of the door up close and post it, usually their would be about 3-4 posts of people asking "what did you take a picture of yourself in a mirror for?!?" before they figured out what they were looking at, this only really worked on black cars, but still, it worked :)

Am I the only person who hates the word detailing? Why not just say you are cleaning the damn thing.

technically detailing is what you do after you have cleaned your car. Everything up to and including the clay is the cleaning part. Everything after that is paint repair and protection. Detailing should in theory bring your paint back to as new (if not better) quality. The only reason i know all this is because one of my best friends with an EVO IX has a fetish for keeping his car clean and i have helped him during all day cleaning and detailing fiestas. Personally i like to keep my car sort of dirty as a disguise.
