Quebec, the province, is more than the city of Montreal and yes it is getting worse. They are definitely looking at Ontario for inspiration and it is not a good sign.

Our current Minister of Transport (pictured above) is a pharmacist by trade and is doing nothing good for transport but hell bent on introducing stupid over the top laws to collect more money from motorists and restrain them.
Of course, when she got busted by journalists for riding in her govnm't supplied car at high speed and passing on the right she claimed being asleep in the back and to not know what her driver was doing. <_<
If she can't manage her own limo driver, why is she a minister and why is she minister of transport ! ? :mad:

Speed cameras, red light cameras, speeding fines now doubled for high speed violations, the works...
Only thing that didn't go through is lowering the blood alcohol limit.

Wherever vanity plates are available All over the world, demands are looked at for that kind of offensive stuff.

Frank Bullitt's plate was black with yellow lettering. The one pictured above is from the 1970s.

A few years ago, the State of California recalled this plate:

It seems that every time a police officer wrote a ticket citing a vehicle without plates, the owner of the above registration would get the ticket.

(Officers routinely enter "NO PLATE" in the space for license plate on the ticket form if the vehicle doesn't have plates. When the tickets were entered into the computer, the system wound up finding "NO PLATE" in the registration database and routing all those tickets to one guy.)

Years ago, I tried getting 0O0O0O0 (Oh Zero Oh Zero Oh Zero Oh) in California but was denied. The DMV didn't see the humor in a California Highway Patrolman trying to run that plate:

"This is unit Alpha 32, I need a 10-28 and 10-29 on California passenger Ocean Ocean Zero...I mean Zero Zero Ocean... strike that, Ocean Zero Zero ......."

I didn't try to get this one, but it is currently available:

The one I have on my Mach 1 is very appropriate.

Quebec doesn't allow personalized plates because there's not enough room to put "cock on board" in both English and French.

i like the plate idea especially the last one, i'm fan of clever plates like that
 
If I had a Buick GNX, I'd get a vanity plate that said "CVETETR" or "VETEATR" or something to that effect.
