Program recommendation to test internal/external HDD transfer speed

I'm considering replacing my laptop HDD with a CF memory card + adaptor, I only use my laptop for basic web browsing and taking notes in class, boot up time and battery life are what I am after and small storage space isn't really an issue.

Just wondering what program(s) do you guy use to test internet/external drives' transfer speed, and what are you experience with them.

You're probably looking for something like Everest, SiSoft Sandra, or one of the other benchmarking suites for Windows, though.

There is a newer version of HD Tune which supports flash memory available. http://www.hdtune.com/

Thanks Vette Boss and Viper007Bond, just tested out HD Tune and it works great! HDTach seems to be a little more detailed from the screenshots, I'll be testing it out later today.
