I think this is a super interesting side by side, the women are mostly super beautiful even with no prep. however it looks to me that they did a few things like angle and focal length to exaggerate the 'before' pictures.

Most likely, they deliberately used a wide-angle lens for the "without" pictures to exaggerate the effect because lol look how fugly they actually are!!

In reality, nobody looks attractive shot close up with a wide-angle.

If I have to be honest, I don't find them THAT beautiful on the after photos, either. Models are far and away from what I consider an ideal woman
