The car will do 622 miles/1000 km on a 50 liter fuel tank. That's 5.0 l/100km or 56 mpg. That's is decent, but you'll get the same fuel efficiency from a small diesel. But how did they come up with 141 mpg? On the other hand if your work commute is short (under 31 miles) and you are able to charge the batteries at home you could potentially drive only on electric power, which is great.

the wonders of the NEDC, only driving a total of 11km does wonders for fuel consumption if you start with a full battery and don't have to factor in whatever it cost to charge that.
