Best cars by price

man our taxes really blow a 911 turbo is AU$327,000 (US$255,000) (I think part of it comes down to being ripped off by Germans :( )

Aston's are even more ridiculously priced, a v8 vantage is about (US$ 255,000) and it all goes pair shaped from there....

I was going to make a 500K+ category for the ultra-high end cars, however the problem with most of those cars (SLR, Carrera GT, Enzo, Veyron, and possibly the Zonda and Koenigsegg) is that they're not made in RHD, so they're not sold here. I could have worked out how much it'd cost to import and convert one, but I decided to stick with locally-delivered factory RHD examples. (However, I'd go for either the Koenigsegg CCX or the SLR on that money)

Man taxes and fees must be killing you. Subaru Impreza WRX SL for $42k is insane. The STI only goes for $31k here. And the Aston Martin goes for $165k before options.

Not sure all the prices are right, but you should get the general idea:

1. Best car Under 15k $USD
Honda Civic

2. Best car 15k-20k
Honda Accord

3. Best car 20k-30k
WRX Wagon

4. Best car 30k-50k
BMW 3er, STI, Mazdaspeed 6, Holden Monaro

5. Best car 50k-90k
Z06 Corvette, 911 C2S, the up and coming GTR, BMW 5ers, Audi RS4, Jaguar XK.

6. Best car 90k-170k
Mercedes CLS, 911 C2S (not sure about price), Mercedes S, Audi A8, NSX.

7. Best car 170k-330k
Lamborghini Gallardo, Ferrari 599, etc.

8. Best car over 330k
Here be Moslers, Bugattis, and the like.

wow currency exchanges are a bitch.

It's not currency exchange that's the problem it's taxes.

Adunaphel, at least your country has good public transport, our's sucks majorly. The reason why most cars are taxxed so heavily is because we also have alot of locally produced cars the government tries to protect (though they compensate for the taxes by just upping their prices I suspect :S) Just in Australia we have a Toyota, Mitsubishi, Holden (GM), Ford which really is quite a few for a country of only 20 million people.

If ANY of you feel you have been hit hard by taxes, take a look at this (180 % tax):

Yeah, i knew Denmark was even worse tax-wise... Our cartaxes are 45.2% of the net value of the car, with a certain amount added or deducted based on your fuel type (Petrol gets a reduction, diesel gets taxed extra hard).

Well the only thing I car about is a car that costs 250000, 330000s too much when will you guys learn about ASCARI:lol:
