I can see how the average guy-on-the-street would get flummuxed by the neutral thing, though, if you're not used to it. I've been driving my car for a couple years, and I've never used the neutral "gear" in my automatic since I bought it. However, before reading about the car and seeing these videos, I think I'd probably be "slapping" the lever over the "N" in rapid short bursts if the car is speeding up unexpectedly. I mean, I know that you just have to hold it now, and sure there's no excuse for not reading the manual, but...c'mon...how many people actually read the directions for anything? :lol:

That said, Since this whole fiasco started, I've been in 3 rental cars (Hyundai Accent, Chevy Malibu and a Ford white van...don't remember which "E" model...no I'm not going to do it to my own car!) and in all three vehicles the brakes overpowered the engine at full throttle from 60...and that was with one foot on the brake, because the other was on the gas.

There was a bike in Berkeley that Kiki and I called "Franken-Ninja." The bodywork was from about 5 other bikes, stitched together with zip-ties and all different colors. I've never seen a bike that had more than one color of stock paint on a single piece of fairing.
