1. This German vehicle is rebadged as a Dodge for the American market.
2. It has a distinctly European design that is more or less unique in America, but very common in Europe.
 
The largest engine available for 1962, this model's first year, was the Super Duty 421; for it's last year in 2008, that title went to the LS4.
 
1- It's believed to be one of the first Hybrid cars more than 100 years ago.
2- The person who invented it, also had founded a living German sports car.

Mazda RX-2 (or possibly RX-3)? (I'm not sure if it even meets all of those requirements, but it's a guess)
