The pics are pretty nice. I suspect a compact camera is responsible for them isn't it?

Try a tripod with a long exposure for the waterfall, it'll completely change the image.

And if you can't get slow enough, use an ND filter + maybe a poloriser

yeah, most were taken at f/22, need some ND, but looking at a sharp prime in future that doesnt take retarded sized filters like the 17-70.
