New Ghostbusters movie?

Sweet mother of god what else will they remember ???? This lack of new ideas is really getting on my nerves

They could remember The Goonies, Short Circuit, The Flight of the Navigator, Gremlins...

You know that the power of the lack of new ideas i very strong in the cinema industry nowadays :lol:

Anyways I like the idea of a new Ghostbusters movie but ONLY if the new cast is in it again. They say the cast won't be in the project unless the script is finished and accepted. We will see...

While i normally avoid resurrecting old threads, i found this out earlier and it really boiled my blood. Apparently the people at Sony Entertainment in Europe have purchased the release rights of the forthcoming Video Game of Ghostbusters in Europe. While the North American rights remain with Atari and the game will be released as planned on June 16 and across all formats.
However in Europe, the game will be released on PS2 and PS3 on June 19th only, with all remaining versions (XBox, Wii and DS) being 'delayed' until October 3rd 2009.
While i have both consoles i find it extremely annoying in a computer firm dictating on which platform i should buy it on. This smacks of Sony desperately reaching to find ways of getting more PS3 units sold.

Nice idea but have you checked the calendar lately? Original cast is way too old to do this anymore, should have asked that about 15-20 years ago.

XBox 360 version will be region free, so you can import it if you like.

Dan Aykroyd (Ray Stantz) and Harold Ramis (Egon Spengler) wrote the upcoming video game (and Ghostbusters I and II). Most of the cast of the first film came back to record dialog for the game. If they blow it, Ghostbusters III is not in a good position.

On the original Ghostbusters being old: this is not the first time they were old in the Ghostbusters Universe. In Extreme Ghostbusters Egon hired four young guns to act as a new team and led them.
