Unknown car, ID please.

Hey everyone,
I took a small road trip down to LA yesterday. On the way, saw this on the back of a truck. Anyone have an idea what it is? Just wondering.

Saw a ton of nice cars in the LA area. Ferraris, lambos, aston martin, bentley, jags. Couldn't take pics of them all because I was driving. I only got the chance to get the new challenger and a bmw with camo.

And the rental car I got for the day. It was awesome, great car.

It looks like a Probe. (the make, not the Ford Probe)

EDIT: apparently, the make was Adams Bros. and the model is Probe. Anywho, I couldn't find any exact matches... at least so far.

ah, like Probe from clockwork orange. made in very small numbers if i remember correct.

It's not a CWO Probe. If you look closely, it's a VW-based kit car. It's a Sterling Sports Cars (not to be confused with the rebadged Rover 800s) Nova missing its rear valance, rear bumper/lights and passenger-side exterior mirror.

Ah yes, thats the crazy kit car used in the movie Cannonball Run 2 i think.

I know one was used in Death Race 2000, but I'm not sure about any of the Cannonball Run movies.

It is a Sterling. The orange-ish car is a Nova, the original variant from the UK. The Sterling was both in Cannonball Run 2 and the original Death Race 2000. For Lupin: if you're that near Carlisle, you really need to come to the kit show in May. There should be more than a couple there from our club!
