Looks like it's a bit old news but I'm surprised it hasn't made its way around the interweb ..yet.

For those of you who live in switzerland, authenticity affirmation is much welcomed.

some Swiss/Zurich members may recognize the location/building,
this is our Strassenverkehrsamt or what you call 'road traffic
license dept' / TUEV or whatever...anyway.

so that beast passed the license test and is getting number
plates and official go to drive on streets.... ....in Switzerland....

my colleague talked to one of the testers, who just said: "the owner
is buying a license for his FXX" and he heard something about
CHF 300/k which is roughly USD 245/k ..... unbelievable..if... ;-)

cheers

Wait, in SWITZERLAND?! I'm surprised the car wasn't crushed for possibly being the carbon-fiber, pollutant-and-noise-spewing spawn of Satan, much less made road-legal, when it was intended and designed for the track only.

Also, I think the FXX looks quite good in those color.

 I think I would just drive it and hang onto that cash for tickets and lawyer fees haha.

why so surprised? The right sort of money will get you just about anything in switzerland, and if you can afford an FXX there are probably very few things you can?t afford...

Yea, if you have enough money in the bank you can go live there

Awesome. Dunno why you would want to use it on the road though?!?!??!

Fabulous car, I wonder if they will keep updating them with the latest technology as it becomes available.

If someone was willing to pay for it to be legalized I don't see the problem, he probably needed to provide crash test data etc (in this case probably generated by simulation)

Giving special rights to the wealthy, that just sounds soo socialist

i hate politics

Hmmmmm, that'd sure be interesting to drive on the roads!

+1 for awesomeness though. +infinity because it's Switzerland.

I think you will find that is how much he paid for the license to get it registered. The car would be in the region of $2million I reckon.

Miracles happen.
The owner should be severely punished for that color though.
Ferraris should be red.

I didn't think you 'owned' a FXX, just paid for the opportunity to drive them at Ferrari approved track days. Did that change, or is this someone with more than just money?

Might as well for for the extra bits of money and make it road-legal. I think it's bang for the buck considering how much a FXX cost.

Now you can pick up grocery in a FXX track car, definitely new record.

Fxx's where supposed to be ferrari trackday only cars right? You never got ownership of one they would just let you lend 1 for allways or something. And ferrari would buy it back when you would try to sell it so I heard/read somewhere.
