Spied: 2011 LAMBORGHINI Jota

I'm quite surprised at the weight as well. It's essentially the same as the 599, which is quite surprising given that they designed a whole new car with a completely new engine with lowering the weight in mind.

Dry weights (from lamborghini.com):
Murcielago LP-670 SV 1,565kg
Murcielago LP-640 1,665kg
Murcielago LP-640 Spyder 1,690kg
Ferrari 599GTB 1580 kg (dry weight, ferrari.com) curb weight 1,690 kg

Even though it may weight more than expected, according to that leaked spec sheet it still does 0-60mph in 2.9s and has a top speed of 217mph. And that is pretty impressive. And it should look fantastic as all Lambos do. I'm just worried about the handling.

well yes, this is a ps but this is what a friend from another forum who has seen the car said this: This is it...its almost 100% but few details are missing for example the roof tilts inward in the centre of the car and the
lights details.. other than that this how the LP 700 looks like..
 
yeah, but everyone that had seen the car said that its more a evolution of the reventon.

The nose is wrong in that render, makes it look too much like a bird's beak compared to this:

Overstyled indeed. If someone came up with a bodykit styled like that (for whatever car) everyone would puke all over it, but when it's an original Lambo design it seems to be coolest thing ever all of a sudden. Looks tacky as hell IMO. Classy is definitely not the word here...

edit: I'm talking specifically about the pic posted by hounted.

Considering that the first release weighs the same as the previous car's superlight, I think they did pretty good.
The SL/SV version of this should be properly light.
