Audi UK 'lied' about safety testing of vehicles

Undercover researchers witnessed nine out of 10 dealers from around the country falsely claim the Audi A5 was Euro NCAP safety tested.

But the A5 - as well as the A7, A8 and R8 - are not tested.

Same platform but different body shells.

There have been cases of different results for similar platforms.

Also have been other reports of deliberate misrepresentation of crash results (not just EuroNCAP) by other manufacturers.

If Audi Dealers are = "Audi UK" or "Audi" - I think we disagree on that.

Apart from that, that is indeed a thing that can?t happen. A Dealer/salesperson should know this sort of stuff and not make claims he/she doesn?t know about (or even lie, if they know). Audi needs to make sure the Dealers and Salespeople are propperly informed and give the customers the correct info. 1 out of 10, that is a pretty bad score. The Dealers should get 3 weeks in Ze Cooler for that.

The UK Audi dealers and Audi UK both gave similar information when contacted by the BBC programme Watchdog.

Bet they aren't the only ones.
