I'm looking at getting a gamepad type thing for my Galaxy S3 and HTC one X (I swap between them a fair bit). I was looking at a couple, but every one seems flawed in some way, and most rely on 3rd party apps :S

I'm mostly looking for it for Real Racing 3 (not that I can find any that natively support it) and the GTA games

I've seen a few gamepads, but does a PS3 controller work with an Android device? If it does that would probably be my choice.

I'm using a PS2 controller for my PC and I think it would translate well to android, a PS2 to USB adapter is like 3 dollars and an OTG (USB female to microusb) is 2, a controller is something like 10 or 15. The PS2 controller is by far the best one i've used and i've seen plenty examples of it being used on a Nexus 7 with a cursory google search, no root needed

PS3 controller.

Make a mount for your device - I used a hangar wrapped in electrical tape.

Works beautifully.
