Other Random Car Sightings [Photo Required]

Dibs on the Old Cutlas. You can keep the lambo for your self.

Saw this gorgeous early CX (1976 going from the number plates). Everything about it was in pristine condition, driven by an elderly couple. A simply stunning car.

This one was a bit more of a WTF sighting. Toyota never sold the Corolla Verso here, so someone has taken it upon themselves to bring this one over. The Avensis Verso (which was sold here) must have been far too big for them...

Wollongong seems to have a thing for weird imports. Although the Chevrolet Cavalier that I see around takes the cake for that title.

Didn't realise Dacias were built in the home of Skoda...? These were waiting at the station in Kutna Hora - 50 miles or so outside of Prague in the Czech Republic. :) I was very happy to see a load of Dusters this holiday - I want one so much :D

Dacia only produces in Romania or countries with high import taxes. The Czech Republic is not among that list.

Just came back from a 1800km roadtrip from Lake Constanze, Switzerland to Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, France - and back. Until Geneva all on the autobahn, after that all on rural french roads. - Took me 4 days. Was pretty damn awesome:

Ahem... a VW Corrado. - Came up on this in the middle of nowhere in France during the early morning hours. No one else around. - According to the dirt markings on the road this chap flew out of that curve, went up the opposite banking, made an Immelmann turn back onto the road, and then simply rolled it back into this handy parking bay nearby. And after that he probably walked home to sleep the rest of his drunkeness out.

I saw a Renault Spider today...

(Sorry, not my pic. I was driving, it was parked)

That must be the rarest car I've ever seen...especially considering where I live. I don't even think that car was available for sale outside of Europe.

Saw a old and very rare Mazda 323 today.

A friend of a a friend got this a while back. It's not a 205 T16, but in fact one of the original DIMMA ones. 205's made to look like the rally car/T16.
There is an identification plaque in the engine bay with an identification number as proof of authenticity. The original 1.6 GTI lump had been replaces with a 405 MI16 engine, and I've been told it's going to be taken out and replaced by a turbocharged(or possibly supercharged) MI16 engine. With the racing decals and the way it sounds it's not a subtle way to get around. :D
