Can we all agree The Office season 2-6?
Series 1 isn't terrible, but not a real series and the first episode is a knock-off.
Even though it isn't a full season, the first one is still pretty funny in my book. Alliance is great, Health Care has some great ad-lib diseases and Diversity Day has some decent stuff too.
I've been watching the show since Day 1 and the First 4 seasons were really solid, obviously with Season 2 being the best season ever. 4 is where they hit the brakes and the writer's strike didn't help the situation. I also think that's when they lost their main writers, Mike Schur and Greg Daniels, to Parks & Rec (which is by far the superior show right now, absolutely hilarious). So those two things nearly killed the show.
After that, it was moderately unfunny, Jim & Pam went from cute to annoying, and the writing got suspiciously bad starting shortly before Michael started his own paper company. Now it's just beating a dead horse.
Of course, this is just my opinion.
Season 2 was just bliss.
I like all the seasons but season 2 was just perfect. Season 1 was short and they hadn't really found their sweet spots, and season 3 onwards they inevitably didn't feel as fresh.
Season 2 was so perfect... the Halloween episode, the original Christmas episode, the Bring Your Daughter To Work episode, the Casino Night episode... just the fact that I remember all these distincly being part of season 2 shows how much I enjoyed it.
Don't forget Drug Testing, which is still my favorite Dwight episode. "It has to be official, and it has to be urine."
Or The Client. "Can we get an Awesome Blossom, extra awesome?"
Or Booze Cruise. Or Dwight's Speech. Or Michael's Birthday. Or The Injury, which might still be in my top 5 Office episodes. "You can't fire me, I don't work in this van!"
And the water spray bottle. Priceless.
