EDIT: I cannot wait to hear what Porsche's flat 8 will sound like. As bone chilling as their flat 6 is, it should be bloody brilliant.

Wow that RX8 sounds astounding. I think the completely open exhaust takes a little of the tone out, but watching the car just walk away from that GT3 on the straight at the end, from a n/a 2.0 liter engine made me smile. I can't wait to get my RX7!

V8s always sound the best to me. I love the slightly rough rumble that they give.
 
I like big lazy engines. Not to fond of the screaming high-revvers. Any i6/V6 over 4L is cool, and Big V8's is what I voted for.

@ Final Dihatsu, Diesels can sound cool.

3 rotor for me. The rx8 in that vid sounds epic and so does the furai. The v12,v10,v8 and v6 would be a tie for second place for me. I like the sound of some v6's, like the r32 for example.
 
Can I vote all of the above? They all have their special details. I4's if tuned properly and not by ricers, can sound brilliant. Porsche's flat-6 is truly amazing, and then there's nothing like a Lambo V10 or Ferrari V12 screaming at you. And then there's Detroit's heavy metal V8's, I just can't choose.

I've always been a bit of a V8 man myself. A well tuned V6 or V10 is a close second.

Too much V10 love nowadays, V12s still rule the road.
