Don't let the name or shape of the camera fool you. It is very much a point and shoot that happens to take VGA video. Nevertheless, it isn't the greatest.

For some reason I'm happy with this one, I think it's because I finally got the focus almost right on (aside from the paws, which were actively moving around)- viewed at 100% magnification on my monitor it's very crisp. Below is after cropping and reducing to 45%.

random photography related thought:

Noise Ninja's pretty gorsh darned good at noise reduction (also tried Neat Image, I preferred Noise Ninja), just download the profiles for your camera and watch the noise dissolve. Anyways, I'm sort of half considering buying it, but at the same time not, because the demo just puts a solid coloured grid over your image... in photoshop... bahahaha. duplicate background, reduce noise, magic want 0 tolerance no antialiasing, select grid, delete, duplicate background again, offset +15x +15y, repeat prior steps, offset -15x -15y. All that's left is tiny squares of original noisiness that are basically invisible - repeat once more with a different offset to get rid of those. Bam! Demo restriction eliminated.

Was in my parents garden taking photos of flowers (again) and thought I might as well try to 'catch' some birds.

I have only just found out that I actually took a load of brilliant photos in Cornwall last summer!

Went to the zoo, and while I got all the cliche shots I did try to focus on emotion. So the next few pictures will hopefully convey some emotion, just gotta hope the message gets across.

Dunno if I should have cropped it to loose the green in the corners :hmm:

Nah, they have a very nice vignetting effect. They also create a sense of size and proportion.
