2009 Volvo XC60 concept

I really like that :D

Yeah seriously - I'll slide that in the too good to be true file.

Very nice though, but the people I babysit for have an XC90, and their keyfod broke on it...split in half. They had 2 pay 400$ to replace it...so I do not think Im going after a Volvo anytime soon.

I really like the look of it. I'd still never buy anything remotely like it though.

All of the new key fobs that are laser cut and/or have to be programed are that expensive.

Although 400 dollars is a little on the high side. I have ordered new key fobs for Volvos before and even with the programing they are only about 250 dollars USD.

That happens when you have really heavy keychains, they put stress on the key itself when they hang from the ignition for a while. The XC90 key is the same as the S60 key, so i know that it isn't made out of brittle glass. You'd have to have either really bad luck or be reckless to break that key.

A little too wavey looking for me, but the overall shape and windows look nice. I usually hate when companies tone down the actual production versions, but I think this concept could use a little bit of toning down.

The reason they get toned down is that although the concept looks cool, it is hand built with parts that would be unfeasibly expensive or even impossible to put into production. Therefore things like door handles, lights, wheels and interiors are usually changed.

sahme really, i would love this to stay as it is. actually, Honda showed us that production cars can look like the concepts

I reckon judging from those photos, it will basically look the same, apart from changes to the door handles, smaller wheels, and less white in the interior. I don't know how practical that centre console would be, so that may have to go too, who knows.

How about usability on that center console? You can't feel with your finger when it's on the right button. I would think, it would be pretty annoying to check every time, is needed button under my finger or not.

But I doubt, that will make to production in near future.
