But the overhangs on the F40 are larger and if I was to take that car out all I would worry about is a stupid driver in an SUV totaling it.

Also there are a lot of bad hills where normal cars scrape the pavement, which would probably rip stuff off the F40

I think I just figured out what I would want...
A Cadillac Escallade with AWD, and have a Ferrari 355 v8 under the hood.
I figure this will piss everyone off, except me. All the sports car fans will be pissed I bastardized a 355, the ecomentalists will be mad I'm driving an SUV, and it'll be made worse by the fact that the Ferrari engine makes no torque and gets about 8mpg.
It would make a glorious noise though. I'd constantly be driving around in the wrong gear just to get it to rev... assuming it could pull the weight around.
Being a celebrity, and given the low production numbers, you likely wouldn't have to wait.

Tim Allen (argh argh argh) actually owns and drives one. so it shouldn't be too hard to get one legalized when you're a celebrity if he can do it.

I remember watching group B cars in the 80's when I was younger, and I just loved the S4. It was fast, powerful and scary at the same time with that ridiculously short wheelbase.
The standard road version is a bit tame, so I'd turn the wick up on that supercharged and turbocharged engine. And I won't scrape the nose off in urban areas, be able to go off road really quickly.
Most people still don't know what an S4 is, so I'll get attention without the hatred.
