Best Android apps

Same here!

Forgot about it yesterday, missed out on it :(

I'm looking for an Android app which allows me to partially replace some of the personal stuff my wallet, ie. I can make (photo)copies of any cards (KeyRing does commercial/retail cards, but more like insurance, HMO, etc. cards), receipts, or any other personal information that I want to record and keep with me, but without having the physical item. A built-in sharing feature would be appreciated (ie. I take a snapshot of a card and can "share" it directly with this app). Encryption and/or password protection would also be nice in case the phone ever gets lost/stolen.

Thanks.

Now that you bring it up, I'd like something like this as well.

Because there is no such thing as too many displays, and Android lets you do awesome things with your phone like display a dashboard for LFS :D

Penetrate is one hell of a scary app, my city is locked to one ISP. They only give out Thomson routers, my bedroom window picked up 5 WPA2 routers and bam, instant key.

It used to ask you to download the dictionaries via PC and transfer, but the new update has a 46MB library to download.

Router Keygen is a very similar open source app, with support for more routers and online dictionary access, and no ads. Apparently, it's also faster when used with the dictionary; I'll test both apps around town tomorrow, the two networks I can get in my flat (one of which is my own) are not hackable by any of them.

Didn?t know about those kinds of apps!
Will test them.

Is there an app that will collect random packets? I have a friend at work that wants something that does this for some reason.

cisco packettracer :p

I have my DHD in my car and automatic brightness is way too bright to drive at night and I was too lazy to manually change it all the time.

Solution: Free app Dimmer. One touch toggle between min brightness and the brightness you had before, even works with automatic brightness. Brilliant.

Cyanogen has a utility to completely customize the auto-brightness settings. If it was contributed by a specific dev, they might have it available as a stand alone app.

Solution: use a phone that seems to have about 90 MB allocated for app storage.
Solution, use a rom that supports apps2sd and allocate 1 GB of the sd card to apps, which I did. I never complained I was running out of storage. :p

Tried that (Cyanogen), damn thing crapped out on me as I have complained about numerous times :p

Perversely, I also only get Flash if I stick with a stock or stock-based ROM, as HTC makes a Flash player but the Adobe one won't run.
