As much as I hate washing cars, I do understand this, and also wash my cars before any big job. It's just so much nicer to work on a clean car.

But I don't *detail* the engine room of course :p
 
I have not detailed the engine room, it was sprayed with a degreaser and washed with a power washer, to get it reasonably clean and the disasembly more pleasant.
 
I know car will end up being Apine White, but damn that's a nice shade of blue.

I agree, it is a nice color indeed.
 
Having disassembled major parts of several Land Rovers I understand why you would want to degrease and clean before stripping it down. Nice work.

I enjoyed Ice’s description of this poor thing in the video of the MX-5, sounds like it has had a hard life.

When car is disassembled. This will happen in the next 2 weeks or so. Then it needs to undergo proper sandblasting.
