Other Random Car Sightings [Photo Required]

The last couple cars I remember with broken rear lights all weren't Golfs :dunno:
Yeah, because it's so common it's not memorable anymore. :tease:

most recent was a 3er :tease:
Of course no manufacturer or model is completely immune to failing bulbs, but Golfs are very prone to that. Even the LED rear lights of the Golf Plus and Passat B6 tend to fail, usually 2 or 3 LEDs fail in the circle so they blink erratically. In my (12 1/2 year old) car a warning light lights up in the dashboard when a bulb is blown, be it in the headlights, indicators or rear lights. It even shows on which corner the failed bulb is located so you don't have to look on all four corners when it lights up...

Of course, there are people who ignore those warning lights, too, but those are beyond help anyway...

 my Skoda tells you about broken bulbs as well. Not sure about the Eos because none failed yet, but I assume it'll be at least as talkative. The Octavia basically is a Mk5 Golf, so all the LED-equipped or Plus-sized Golfs should tell as well.

Oh, my Audi tells me that my center brake light is out every time I have to do an emergency stop too. <_<

Or, as has been dubbed during roadtrip 2013, the yellow pineapple grenade warning! :p

Jaguar XK-R

Mercedes 500SL (according to the badge)

Tesla Model S from Norway - from here to Frederikshavn is about 500 km so they have three options: nursing it there via hypermiling, having a break to recharge or going to Kiel for the ferry.

And last but not least: a VW Karmann Ghia

What appears to be a somewhat rough, but daily driven

The presence of the only dealer in the state within 10 miles helps with the spotting likelyhood. All the same, still quite a rarity around these parts.
