Dream Garage - a new approach

US: Corvette prefer the 58, but would settle for a 63-65
Geramany: Porsche 928 S4

Sweden: some sort of Koniegiseigggggg or however they spells it
Japan: a Saab 9-2x
Korea: Have not a clue what interests me from there
Australia: Holden Maloo
Italy: a Zonda

Man up and pick something! Remember, you have to fill every slot, why do you think I put Korea in there? To make it more challenging, of course! Be glad I didn't put in China or India.

The Saab is/was made by Subaru and I think that qualifies it as a Japanese car even though I believe it is made in the USA. EDIT: it is made in Japan

If I have to man up and chose one I will take the Pontiac Lemans(88-93) which I will promptly kill with fire.

Now that is style. I like!

  • 1970 El Camino SS 454 (4spd)
  • 1967 Mercedes 280SE]
  • 1967 Sunbeam Tiger MKII
  • 198x Renault 5 GT turbo 2 (the wide body ones)]
  • 1972 Volvo 144 GT
  • 1995 Mazda RX7
  • Hyundai Pony... for the lulz
  • 2010 HSV Ute
  • 1961 Fiat 500

That was tough. I had no idea for Korea, because I don't want a Korean car, I also realised that I didn't choose a 4x4... I might swap the Sunbeam for a LR Defender.

Well, if we're including Australia and the Russians, I have to add these to my list:

Australia: (And I can't believe nobody's picked this one yet) 1973 Ford Falcon XB GT Hardtop/Coupe with the Arcadipane Concorde nose and a few... upgrades.
O3.jpg

Russia: BDRM-2, one of the later variants with the ingress/egress bug fixed. Yes, they do sell them for civilian use with a fully road legal lighting scheme.

Before someone complains, yes, it's a car - specifically, it's classed as a amphibious armoured patrol car.

I'd swap the boring and uninspiring Korean slot for Czech Republic and there I'd go with MTX Tatra V8

I know, it's a rebadged Impreza, but I thought you'd used quite a cheeky way to circumvent the rules . Open to interpretation though, I classified the Falcon as an Aussie car, where technically any Ford would be American, Holdens too, I guess.

Anyways, I didn't correct you, because it was a fast one

Edit: As far as Korean cars go, laugh if you will, but instead of having a beater pony, I really am quite warm to the new KIA Optima. If I were to buy a car in that particular segment, I'd probably gravitate towards that car. It looks great.

Damn, I can't believe I forgot the Tucker. That car had such promise.

Technically, there would have to be several dream garages on several continents, as most of these cars are not legal in the US; but I guess the key word is "dream".

U.S. - 1968 Dodge Charger R/T

Australia - Ford Falcon XB GT coup?

Russia - not on BlindIo's list, but a lot of people are including it, so here's my pick: ZiL 130 (Needs afterburners, though.)
https://pic.armedcats.net/p/ph/phoenixsac/2010/04/03/ZiL-130__ZiL-131.jpg

godamn, this is hard... I've looked over this whole thread so far and haven't seen any bad choices... and I'd probably change my mind myself if I had a lot of time to think about it... anyway, heres my try:

US: 1969 Cobra Jet Mach 1 with Shaker Hood Scoop
48_3.jpg

Germany: 1929 Mercedes Benz SSK
070707-091631.jpg

UK: DB4, because I decided that I would do unspeakable things for one of these a long time ago
DB4-2-1.jpg

(yes I like the bugeye headlights better than the recessed headlights on the DB5 and 6)

France: Bugatti Type 35

Sweden: Koenigsegg Agera

K-131.jpg

Australia: Ford Falcon XB GT coupe

Italy: Ferrari 250 GTO... yeah... I just went ahead and picked this one before this choice drove me crazy
250gto.jpg

Russia: Volga M-21 V8 KGB edition... which i'm pretty sure this isnt a picture of, but you get the idea
GAZ21-Volga_1.jpg

I give up. This one is way too hard. I can't decide if I want to go all out on super performance, or get collectibles (i.e. Ford GT vs. Tucker Torpedo, Koenigsegg vs. Volvo 850, etc). I also can't figure out how to strike a good balance.

The only country I was able to narrow down is Russia:

The ZiL 41047

I thought of it, but "the last of the V8 Interceptors" doesn't count as a production car IMHO. A "normal" Falcon XB would be cool, though.... I decided for its modern successor anyway, but I see you've started a trend. ;)

Well, I was saying that I'd take the Falcon and upgrade it, really. And yes, others seem to have remembered the thing exists. :D
